Petar Tahchiev
About: Petar Tahchiev(23) is an open-source enthusiast, and a graduated
award-winning Mathematician from the Sofia University in Bulgaria. He
currently works as a Technical Consultant at Hewlett Packard, also for
various open-source projects, including the Apache Software Foundation
(ASF) where he serves as a Jakarta Committer, the Jakarta Cactus lead developer and moderator. He also leads the Bulgarian Java User Group (BGJUG – http://java-bg.net/).
Participates actively in the Bulgarian Linux Society, and is a
part-time assistant at the Sofia University, where he leads various
courses – Algebra, Calculus, Java Programming … He is a constant
speaker on some of the biggest Bulgarian Open-Source Conferences
(OpenFest, WebTECH …) and abroad (http://us.apachecon.com/). Apart from this he leads a blog (http://weblogs.java.net/blog/paranoiabla/), and occasionally writes articles. Whenever he finds some free time, he likes to spend it riding a bicycle or swimming.
