About: Rainer Jung studied mathematics and worked for 9 years in mathematical research. In 1998 he co-founded kippdata informationstechnologie GmbH. He is CEO of kippdata and a committer to the Apache Tomcat project. In the Open Source world he is mainly focused on developping mod_jk, the web server module that connects Apache httpd to Tomcat and providing patches whenever he runs into a problem with other OSS.
